He founded Hospitality Finance Solutions in January 2009, and the firm has become nationally recognized for its debt placement specialization in limited-service and select-service hospitality assets.
HFS has participated in finance panels at AAHOA, NAGGL, the Urban Land Institute, Choice Hotels Conference, and multiple U.S. Hotels Summits. The firm has completed transactions in more than 25 states, totaling more than $300 million in closed loan volume.
Prior to founding HFS, Scott built an extensive background in commercial real estate lending and hospitality finance — working with institutional capital sources, owner-operators, and franchise groups across the country to structure debt solutions that fit each borrower's unique situation.
Scott holds a B.S. in Economics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and an M.B.A. from North Carolina State University.
